The Same Page Book Club program
promotes reading engagement by
having students and their parents / carers
read their own copy of the same book
at the same time over the upcoming
Summer holidays.
How Do I Join the Same Page Book Club?
1. Take a look through the Same Page Book Club presentation
2. Choose the top 3 novels you and your daughter would like to read together
3. Email sdenford@saintpatricks.nsw.edu.au with your preferences
There is an extensive range of fabulous books across multiple genres available…there’s something for everyone!
If you require more than two copies of the same book, please let us know when emailing your preferences and we will do our very best to accommodate.
How Do I Receive My Books?
Towards the end of term, your daughter will be contacted to collect book packs to take home over the Summer holidays.
Books are due for return in Term 1, 2026 (extensions to this date can be arranged).
The benefits of the Same Page program
Extensive research indicates that recreational reading not only strengthens language, literacy, and cognitive development, but also nurtures empathy, imagination, emotional intelligence and mental health. The Same Page Book Club is an opportunity for you and your daughter to share the love (and benefits!) of reading together. Our Same Page presentation includes general book discussion questions to serve as prompts for you and your daughter to chat about the book and perhaps offer different perspectives.
In a busy world where screens and phones vie for attention, the Same Page initiative is a chance to stop for a moment and unwind with a good book, in a shared experience with your child.
We hope you enjoy this reading experience with your daughter over the summer holidays.
